Elk Mountain Outfitters is a full-time family operation that has been in the outdoor recreation business since the early 1970’s, offering hunting, summer pack trips and trout fishing.
Hunting at Elk Mountain and Wheatland is done primarily from 4×4 vehicles and on occasion we use horses and mules.
We hunt Albany, Carbon and Platte Counties in southeastern Wyoming and bighorn sheep areas statewide. Most of our hunting in southeastern Wyoming is on private land that we own or have exclusive hunting rights leased. We are permitted for use on National Forest Lands, BLM lands and State of Wyoming lands, where some of our hunting may be conducted.
